Bromine is particularly recommended for use in spas and water heated above 27°C. It remains disinfectant even at high pH. Bromine derives its disinfectant action from the original product (sodium bromide), as well as its non-aggressive properties. Unlike chlorine, it does not produce gaseous emissions, has no odor, does not sting the eyes or skin, and does not bleach hair.
